We provide scaffolding equipment for tradespeople and home owners. We offer specialist residential scaffolding products and services, from small mobile scaffolding to fully enclosed wrapped scaffolding. See our projects section for more example of our work.
Our team are qualified scaffolders, experienced in erecting structurally sound scaffolding efficiently and without damaging your property. You can collect direct from our yard or we can deliver and install on site.
We’ll stay in touch throughout the process to ensure your project goes smoothly, and we’ll provide swift installation and removal. So as soon as you’re done, we’re done!

Do I need scaffolding?
Any scaffold structure over 5 metres in height needs to be erected by a qualified scaffolder and must be compliant with the ‘Good Practice Guidelines for Scaffolding in New Zealand’
What kinds of activities need scaffolding?
You can use scaffolding for painting, roofing, cleaning, glazing and electrical work, or you can use it to build an entire house.

We employ qualified scaffolders to ensure your scaffolding is fully compliant and most importantly, safe!
Phillip has been involved in the scaffold industry his entire working life. He manages business operations and has been involved in the manufacture and the hire side of the business.
Phillip has been instrumental in the development of the business, growing it from two staff, to 17 in the past 12 years.
Phillip enjoys spending time with his young family and catching up with friends.
Darren is our Operation Manager and joined Equiptec January this year.
Darren has a very extensive engineering background, from precision toolmaker to design engineer.
He has spent the last 10 years in production and operational roles in Auckland and Christchurch.
In his spare time Darren enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife and daughter, exploring Dunedin and surrounding areas.
Client Relations Manager
Jess is our Client Relations Manager and the newest member to join Equiptec Rentals.
She is responsible for Quotations, Account Management and Staff Development Training.
Jess has a background in Tertiary Apprenticeship Education as well as owning and operating her own Roofing company in Central Otago, therefore she understands the importance of quick efficient service to keep projects on track.
Jess enjoys weekends away hunting and fishing as well as time at home with her fiancé and children, she is currently completing her Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
Jess is well organised and committed to providing a high level of customer service on every project she looks forward to meeting all new and existing customers of Equitec Rentals.
Ronnie is our office manager and extends a friendly welcome to customers calling or visiting Equiptec and enjoys providing professional service through her work in both administration and sales support roles.
Not only highly driven, with excellent administration, organisation and communication skills, she is also exceptional under pressure.
This is due to her 20 years of working in the fast paced, demanding world of Formula One. Her previous experiences have given her the ability to work quickly and methodically with great attention to detail.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and catching up with friends.
